I booked Vera for a food tour in Porto, and having been on other tours, I thought I knew what to expect. I was wrong! This was a personal tour, just my travel companion and me and Vera. Vera was incredibly personable, and quite early in the tour, it felt like we were old friends. She tailored the tour to our liking, making sure that we enjoyed the things we tried, and even added an extra at our request. This was the best part of my trip to Porto, by far!

We had a wonderful time with Vera on our food tour! She hit the tourist musts - Bolhão Market & her favorite bakery for Natas - but we also got to go to some local gems. Almost more importantly, every place she took us she had a working knowledge of their store and a deep respect for the owners. She made us feel like we were stopping by her friends' places - and she has some GOOD friends! Vera herself was warm and open, tailoring the tour to us and making us feel like family. Would definitely recommend!

Wow! This was such a fun, engaging and enjoyable tour. We loved exploring Porto with Vera. We tried some delicious food and drink, including some dishes that really took us out of our comfort zone (but were amazing!!!). Vera was incredible. She was so fun and answered all of our questions. Would highly recommend this tour and Vera as the guide.

My husband, I, and two of our friends had a 10 tastings of Porto with Vera. This was the first time any of us went on a food tour. This was also by far my favorite guided experience. If I had to describe Vera in one word, it would be PERSONALITY. She was funny, and knowledgeable, and engaging. She had a perfect English, which sometimes could be a challenge in Portugal. I'm usually pretty picky with food, but I loved everything we tasted. We also got many tips on dining in Portugal. We went back for lunch at one of the places Vera took us and met her there with another group. She made sure to stop by to chat with us and answer whatever new questions we had. Without a doubt one of the best guides we ever had. Highly recommend!
