TERMS & CONDITIONS


Welcome to BITES & BARRELS PORTO. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking. By booking with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking and Payments

Confirmation: A booking is ONLY considered confirmed when you receive an email by our company with the title BOOKING CONFIRMATION and a deposit of 10% (for the tours and Masterclasses) and 5% (for other services), of the total amount to be paid for the service you requested.

NOTE: The deposit is non-refundable. 


Payment Schedule: The remaining balance of the requested service must be paid in full a week before the date confirmed booking.

Late Payments: Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of your deposit.

Price Adjustments: We reserve the right to adjust prices due to significant changes in fuel costs, taxes, or currency exchange rates. You will be notified of any changes before final payment (If applied).

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to veramonteiro@bitesandbarrelsporto.com 

Refunds are processed based on the following schedule:

  • Until 40 days prior to booking: Full refund minus a 50 Eur administrative fee.

  • 15 days prior to booking: 40% of the total tour cost is refundable.

  • Less than 15 prior to booking: No refund will be issued.

  • Cancellations by Us: In the rare event that we must cancel a tour (e.g., due to low enrollment), you will receive a 80% (20% fees will not be refundable) refund or the option to transfer your payment to a future trip within availability from both parties.

3. Traveler Responsibilities

Documentation: You are solely responsible for obtaining and carrying a valid passport, visas, and any required health/vaccination certificates and travel insurance.

Fitness for Travel: You certify that you are in good physical health and capable of performing the activities outlined in the booking itinerary.

Conduct: We reserve the right to terminate the Tour/Masterclass or other services previously required  of any traveler whose behavior is deemed disruptive, illegal, or dangerous to themselves or others. No refund will be given in such cases.

4. Liability and Risk

Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to health risks, physical exertion, and environmental hazards. You voluntarily assume these risks.

Third-Party Suppliers: BITES & BARRELS PORTO acts only as an agent for hotels, transportation companies, local guides and suppliers for the Tours and Masterclasses. We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by the acts or omissions of these third parties.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations if such failure is a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, or other natural disasters), war, government regulations, or pandemics.

5. Mandatory Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is highly recommended for all participants. At a minimum, your policy should cover medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation. If you choose to travel without insurance, you acknowledge that any expenses incurred due to illness or cancellation are your sole responsibility.

6. Media and Intellectual Property

Photography/Video: You grant us permission to use any photos or videos taken during the tour for promotional or marketing purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform your guide at the start of the trip.
